You will need;
Cotton DK weight yarn in white and red
3.5mm crochet hook
Wool needle
pipe cleaner
Stitches and Abbreviations
Sl st –slip stitch
dc – double crochet
Starting in white yarn and make a magic ring and work 6dc into the ring. Six sts
Rnd 1: (dc in the first st, 2dc in the next st) repeat to end. 9sts
Change to red yarn at the end of this round and start strip pattern, 2 rnds red, 2 rounds white. Keeping colour changes to the back of your work
Rnd 2-36: dc in each to end.
Rnd 37: (dc2tog, dc in the next st) repeat to end. 6sts
Fasten off. Stuff with a pipe cleaner and bend into shape. Sew closed the hold in the base.
Add hanging loop if required.
