<> Crochet hook 4 mm
<> Caron Simply Soft (4) – 100% acrylic: 170 grams -288 m per skein.
Crochet bow size:
About 9 cm. The size depends on yarn you are going to use.
Common abbreviations of crochet stitches:
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
st(s) – stitch(es)
HDC – half double crochet
SC – single crochet
DC – double crochet
Crochet bow pattern:
Chain 24. Join with sl st to first chain to form a ring.
Round 1: SC in next ch, HDC in next ch, 6 DC in next 6 ch, HDC in next ch, SC in next ch, sl st in next 2 ch, SC in next ch, HDC in next ch, 6 DC in next 6 ch, HDC in next ch, SC in next ch, sl st in next 2 ch.
Round 2: ch1, sl st into the same st, *ch1, sl st in next st – repeat from * around, join with sl st.
Do not cut the yarn. Repeat these two rounds but from the other side of chain. Make sl st that will help you jump on the other side. Ch1. Repeat Round 1. Pay attention SC will be always in front of SC, HDC in front of HDC and so on. After that Repeat Round 2.
Cut the yarn leaving 40-50 cm tail.
Crochet ribbon:
Ch 19. Into the 2nd ch from hook, sl st, : SC in next ch, HDC in next ch, 3 DC in next 3 ch, HDC in next ch, SC in next ch, sl st in next 2 ch, SC in next ch, HDC in next ch, 3 DC in next 3 ch, HDC in next ch, SC in next ch, sl st in next 2 ch.
*Ch1, sl st in next st – repeat from * around, join with sl st. Cut the yarn and weave in ends.
Insert the ribbon inside the bow. Using a yarn needle and the tail you left, sew through all three layers, and wrap the tail around the central part. Fix it on the wrong side. Weave in ends.
