Materials

Small amount of worsted weight acrylic yarn

Crochet hook size F

Two 2" Lucite rings

Variation: You can make this into a magnetic note-holder by eliminating the ties. To add a magnet, trace around the outside of one of the rings onto a magnetic sheet. Cut out the magnetic sheet along the traced lines, and glue to the back of the ring after crocheting round 2.

Pattern note: Work stitches tightly around the rings, especially when working around both rings.

Round 1: Work 20 sc around one of the 2" rings, place the other 2" ring under the ring with the stitches and work 15 more sc around both rings; join with a sl st to the first sc. (35 sc)

Round 2: Sl st in each of the next 24 sc, ch 50 for the first tie, sl st in the 2nd ch from hook and in each of the next 48 ch's, sl st in each of the next 5 sc, ch 50 for the 2nd tie, sl st in the 2nd ch from hook and in each of the next 48 ch's, sl st in each of the last 5 sc; join with a sl st to the first sl st. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
