Gauge: 6 stitches and 3.75 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Note: The jacket is crocheted in one piece across. The arrow on the pattern indicates the direction of crochet.
Instructions:
Left Sleeve:
Start with a chain of 20 (22) 24 ch + 2 ch for turning and work in the main pattern. For sleeve shaping, increase 1 stitch on each side every 4th row 4 times = 28 (30) 32 stitches. After 48 cm = 18 rows from the starting edge, increase stitches for the side edges of the front and back. To do this, at the end of the 18th row, make a chain of 22 (24) 26 ch, turn and for the 19th row, work the chain and 28 (30) 32 sleeve stitches in the main pattern. Then leave the loop and join a new yarn to the last stitch of the 18th row. Make a chain of 22 (24) 26 ch and cut the yarn.
Then insert the hook into the left loop and work this chain with the main pattern = 72 (78) 84 stitches. After 13.5 cm = 5 rows (16 cm = 6 rows) 18.5 cm = 7 rows from the side edge, divide the work in the middle and first continue crocheting on the first 36 (39) 42 stitches for the back. After 24 cm = 9 rows from the division, finish the back neckline: leave the stitches and crochet the last 36 (39) 42 stitches for the left front. After 24 cm = 9 rows from the division, finish the work.
Right Front:
Make a chain of 36 (39) 42 ch + 2 ch for turning and work in the main pattern. After 24 cm = 9 rows from the starting edge, continue working on all stitches in the main pattern. After 13.5 cm = 5 rows (16 cm = 6 rows) 18.5 cm = 7 rows from the end of the neckline, leave 22 (24) 26 stitches on both sides for the sleeve, then crochet the jacket symmetrically, making increases as decreases. Finish the work at a sleeve length of 48 cm = 18 rows.
Assembly:
Crochet the neckline and bottom edges with 1 row of slip stitches from the RS. Sew on buttons (see pattern). Button through the pattern holes, if necessary, sew buttonholes.
