Materials: This flower can be worked with any weight of yarn. Finer weights will create a smaller flower, and bulkier weights will create a larger flower. Use the hook size appropriate for the yarn you choose.

We used: Worsted Weight yarn and a size H-8 (5.00 mm) hook.

Abbreviations:

ch - chain

lp – loop

sc - single crochet

sl st - slip stitch

st – stitch

yo – yarn over

Special Stitches

Picot: Ch3, slst in 3rd ch from hook

Double Treble Crochet (dtr): yo 3 times, insert hook into the next st, draw up a lp and pull through (5 lps on hook). [Yo and pull through 2 lps] 4 times.

FLOWER

Rnd. 1: With Yellow, ch2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook, join with slst to beginning sc. 6sc

Rnd. 2: Ch1, sc, picot, *sc in the next sc, picot*, repeat from *to* 4 times, join with slst to front loop of beginning sc, fasten off Yellow.

Rnd. 3: Wrong side facing, with Dark Pink, attach yarn with slst in back loop of any sc on Rnd. 1, ch1, 2sc in same st, working in back loops, 2 sc in each sc around, join with slst to beginning sc. 12sc

Rnd. 4: Ch1, turn, sc in each sc around, join with slst to beginning sc. 12sc

Rnd. 5: Ch1, turn, sc in each sc around, join with slst to beginning sc.

Rnd. 6: Ch1, turn, sc in each sc around, join with slst to beginning sc. Fasten off Dark Pink.

Rnd. 7: Working in back loops of Rnd. 5, with Light Pink, attach yarn with slst in any sc, ch4, 3dtr in same st, 3dtr in next sc, ch4, slst in same sc, *slst, ch4, 3dtr in next sc, 3dtr, ch4, slst in next sc*, repeat from *to* 4 times, join with slst to beginning slst.

Rnd. 8: Ch1, do not turn, *working in back loops, sc in each ch up side of petal, sc in each dtr, sc in each ch down side of petal, slst in bottom slst*, repeat from *to* 5 times, fasten off and weave in ends.
