Materials needed:

  • Sport weight/category 2 yarn in brown and any other colors of your choice
  • 3 mm crochet hook
  • keyrings
  • yarn needle
  • embroidery skeins
  • cotton for stuffing
Size:
About 2 inches wide and 2.5 inches high
Stitches/Abbreviations Used:
[ ] - Repeat instructions within parenthesis as a set as many times as directed
ch - chain
st/sts - stitch/stitches
sc - single crochet (UK - double crochet)
sc2tog - single crochet worked together in 2 consecutive stitches (sc decrease)

Instruction

Ice cream (make 2)

Round 1:Make a magic ring, ch 1, 6 sc into ring. (6 sc)

Round 2:2 sc in each st around. (12 sc)

Round 3: Repeat [sc in next st, 2 sc in next st] around (18 sc)

Round 4: Repeat [sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st] around (24 sc)

Round 5 to 7: sc in each st around. (24 sc)

Round 8: Repeat [sc in 4 sts, sc2tog] 4 times (20 sts)

Round 9: sc in each st around. (20 sc)

Round 10 (work into front loops only): 3 sc in the front loop of each st around. Join and cut off yarn.

Cone

Round 1: Join brown at the back loop and work sc in each st around (20 sc)

Round 2 and 3: sc in each st around (20 sc)

Round 4: Repeat [sc in 3 sts, sc2tog] around (16 sts)

Round 5 and 6: Sc in each st around (16 sc)

You can start stuffing at this stage and continue doing so as you progress.

Round 7: Repeat [sc in 2 sts, sc2tog] around (12 sts)

Round 8 and 9: Sc in each st around (12 sc)

Round 10: Repeat [sc in next st, sc2tog] around (8 sts)

Round 11 and 12: Sc in each st around (8 sc)

Do the final stuffing before closing.

Round 13: sc2tog 4 times (4 sts)

Cut off yarn leaving a long tail. Thread the free end of yarn to a yarn needle and use it to close the opening by weaving in through the stitches.

Finishing

Sew the 2nd ice cream to the top. When half way through fill the stuffing and complete the sewing.
Decorate with beads and embroidery skeins

Sew the keyring to the top.
