Used Patterns
Wrong-side pattern: in RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts;
Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;
Cable (27 sts wide): due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows due to the pattern. Repeat 1st-36th rows.
Stitches control: wrong-side pattern and stockinette stitch: 17 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
Cable: 27 sts x 25 rows = 8 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back
Cast on 158 (166) 174 sts and divide them in the following way: 1 selvagest, 6 (7) 8 sts of wrong-side pattern, * 27 sts of cable, 12 (14) 16 sts of wrong-side pattern*; repeat from * to * x twice, 27 sts of cable, 6 (7) 9 sts of wrong-side pattern, 1 selvage st. In 12 cm = 30 rows from the set-up row, decrease 2 sts before and after cables as purl2tog in the central 3 areas of wrong-side pattern = 6 decreases. Repeat these decreases x 4 times in every 24th row = 128 (136) 144 sts. In 62,5 cm = 156 rows (61 cm = 152 rows) 58,5 cm = 148 rows from the set-up row, bind off 3 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 116 (124) 132 sts. In 79,5 cm = 198 rows form the set-up row, bind off 9 (11) 11 sts from both sides for sleeve chamfers and 2 x 10 (10) 11 sts in every 2nd row. At the same time, bind off the central 58 (62) 66 sts for the neck-hole, make 13 x purl2tog in once cable and bind them off, finish both sides separately. In 81 cm = 202 rows from the set-up row, bind off all the sts.
Front
Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole. For this, bind off the central 58 (62) 66 sts in the 180th row in the same way, as for back.
Sleeves
Cast on 45 (50) 55 sts with knitting needles and make 1,5 cm = 4 rows of wrong-side pattern for placket with wrong-side pattern, increase 3 sts in the last row = 48 (53) 58 sts. Then, work with stockinette stitch. In 9,5 cm = 24 rows from the placket, increase 1 st from both sides for sleeve chamfers and 2 x 1 st in every 8th row = 54 (59) 64 sts. In 21 cm = 52 rows from placket, bind off 2 sts from both sides for sleeve caps and *1 x 1 and 1 x 2 sts in every 2nd row*; repeat from * to * x twice, 7 x 1 st. In 32 cm = 80 rows from placket, bind off the rest 18 (23) 28 sts.
Assembly
Make shoulder seams; sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams. Fasten the neck-hole and bottom with 1 row of “shrimp stitch”.
