Crochet Brown Poncho

You’ll need:

400 (450)g of brown Bandana yarn (50% cotton, 50% polyester; 90m/50g);

Crochet hooks 4,5 and 6.

Size: S (M-L).

Note: work from up to down.

Stitches control: single crochets, crochet hook 4,5: 11 sts x 5 rows = 10 x 3,5 cm;

Triple crochets, crochet hook 6: 9 sts x 4 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Make 84 (96) chain sts with crochet hook 4,5 and circle it in the ring with 1 slip st, make 3,5 cm = 5 rows of single crochets for placket, start every circle row with 1 chain st increase and finish with 1 slip st in chain st increase. Then, work with triple crochets with crochet hook 6, start every circle row with 5 chsin sts increase and finish with 1 slip st in chain st increase.

Mark the 21st (24th) and 63rd (72nd) triple crochets from the beginning of circle row. For wide shape, increase 4 triple crochets in the next 4th row, for this, make 3 triple crochets after the marked triple crochet, mark the central of 3 triple crochets = 88 (100) triple crochets. Make these increases in every row x 16 (18) times, increase * in the next row – before marked triple crochets, in the next row – after marked triple crochet*; repeat from * to *, the increased sts should be placed one above another one with replacement = 152 (172) triple crochets.

In 48 cm = 18 rows (53,5 cm = 20 rows) from placket, finish your work. Turn your poncho to the WS, make 1 tassel of 3 threads of yarn 48 cm long each between every 3 triple crochets. Cut the tassels to 20 cm long. For straps, join the yarn fold in half to the edge of shoulder placket in 13,5 (15) cm distance before the center of increases line, make 30 chain sts and join it to the edge of set-up row in 13,5 (15) cm distance before the center of increases line.
