Worsted Weight yarn (Sample crocheted with Caron One Pound)
I (5.5 mm) Hook
Gauge: 12 dc = 4”
Size: approximately 29 X 33 inches
Gauge: 12 dc = 4 inches and rows 2 and 3 = 1.5 inches.
Notes:
1.Read instructions through before beginning.
2.Treble Cross Stitch = Tr cross st = Skip one stitch, tr in next stitch, from behind, tr in skipped stitch.
3.Turning chains don’t count as dc throughout.
4.If you want to make it wider add chains in increments of 2.

Row 1: With J (6.0 mm) hook ch 81 (or any multiple of 2+1). Change to I (5.5 mm) hook for remainder of lap robe. Sc in 2nd st from hook and each remaining chain, I think it looks nicest to crochet into the bump on the back of the chain. Ch 2 Turn. (80 sc)
Row 2: Dc in each stitch. Ch 3 turn. (80 dc)
Row 3: Work tr cross stitches across. Ch 2 turn. (40 tr cross st)
Row 4-47: Repeat rows 2 and 3.
Row 48: Repeat row 2. (80 dc)
Row 49: Sc in each stitch. Slip stitch in the ch 2 at the end of row and pull the slip stitch tight. (80 sc)
Fasten off.
Weave in ends.
