Crochet Simple Post Stitch Granny Square

Create a beautiful granny square using the simple post stitch crochet technique. This method involves working around the post of the stitch rather than into the top loops, giving your project a unique texture and look. To start, make a traditional granny square with chain loops and clusters of double crochet stitches in the corners. Then, instead of working regular double crochet stitches into the spaces between clusters, work post stitches around the posts of the stitches from the previous row. This will create a raised ridge effect that adds dimension to your square. Once you have mastered the simple post stitch granny square, you can use this technique to create blankets, scarves, or even garments with a unique and eye-catching texture. Have fun exploring the possibilities of this versatile crochet stitch!
