​Bright Set of Shawl and Hat

You’ll need:

1500g of sectional coloring blue-red-green yarn (100% wool; 45m/150g) for shawl;

150g of the same yarn for hat;

Knitting needles 20.

Size: shawl: 44 x 240 cm;

Hat circumference: 56-58 cm.

Stitches control: rib: 6 sts x 8 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Stockinette stitch: 5 sts x 8 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Shawl

Cast on 28 sts and work with 2 x 2 rib. In 84 cm, divide your work for arm-holes in the following way: 10 sts of 2 x 2 rib, leave the rest 18 sts, work on 10 sts to 25 cm height and leave sts, work on previously left 18 sts to 25 cm height after that, include all sts in work and knit with 2 x 2 rib. In 120 cm from the set-up row, the middle of back is reached. Finish the second side in symmetry.

Hat

Work in straight and reversed rows: cast on 27 sts and make 5 cm = 3 rows of 1 x 1 rib. After that, work with stockinette stitch. In 18 cm from the set-up row, make decreases for smooth rounding, for this, make every 4^th and 5^th sts together as knit2tog between selvage sts = 22 sts, repeat these decreases in the next RS row (= make every 3^rd and 4^th st as kni2tog between selvage sts) = 17 sts. Make 2 rows of stockinette stitch, make purl2tog in the 2^nd row (WS), tighten these sts with working yarn. Make back seam.
