You’ll need:

100% woolen yarn in pink, peach and green colors;

Crochet hook 3 mm.

Instructions

Middle

R1: Start with a sl st. make 2 chs and work 12 hdc. Close the Round with 2 chs.

The petals

R2: Make 4 chs and close them with a sc in the 3rd hdc from the base. Again make 4 chs and close them with a sc in the 3rd hdc from the base. Repeat again 4 chs and close them with a sc in the 3rd hdc from the base. Do the same for the last time to have in total 4 loops of chs.

Enter the loop stitching one stitch and make 5 chs. Work a Tunisian stitch (make 1 yo in each ch going from the top to the bottom, make 1 yo through the loop of chains – 4 yo in total, *make 1 yo and close 2 yo together* rep. for each yo from the bottom to the top).

Now do the same Tunisian stitch but on the side of the work (make 1 yo in each ch going from the top to the bottom – 4 yo in total, make 1 yo through the loop of chains, *make 1 yo and close 2 yo together* rep. for each yo from the bottom to the top).

Work another Tunisian stitch (make 1 yo in each ch going from the top to the bottom – 4 yo in total, make 1 yo through the loop of chains, *make 1 yo and close 2 yo together* rep. for each yo from the bottom to the top).

Work another Tunisian stitch (make 1 yo in each ch going from the top to the bottom – 4 yo in total, make 1 yo through the loop of chains, *make 1 yo and close 2 yo together* rep. for each yo from the bottom to the top).

Make 3 chs. Make yo in the 2nd ch. Make another yo in the 1st ch. Now continue 5 yo (1 yo in each stitch from the base). *Make 1 yo and close 2 yo together* rep. for each yo from the bottom to the top. There is a 5th column right now – a longer one (+ 3 chs).

Make a yo. This was an increase just to make a pick of the petal, so now work 1 yo in each stitch below the increase (5 yo + the 6th one through the loop of chains), *make 1 yo and close 2 yo together* rep. for each yo from the bottom to the top. Continue next columns the same way to have 4 columns on the other side.

Now stitch each border stitch of the petal (from the top to the bottom) to go to the other petal through the next loop of chains. Continue the second petal exactly the same way.

Work 2 more petals to finish the Round.

R3: Turn the work over. This round will have 5 petals. Make 5 chs. Go to the hdc from the Round 1 and work a sl st. Make 5 chs. Do the same in each middle of the hdc, so 5 times in total (5 chs, 1 sl st, 5 chs). Close the Round stitching the 1st ch of that Round.

R4: Turn the work over. Stitch one st and make 7 chs. Work a Tunisian stitch (make 1 yo in each ch going from the top to the bottom – 7 yo in total, make 1 yo through the loop of chains, *make 1 yo and close 2 yo together* rep. for each yo from the bottom to the top).

Repeat the same 5 times to have 5 columns. The 6th column will be with a pick.

To make the 6th column make 3 chs. Make yo in the 2nd ch. Make another yo in the 1st ch. Now continue 7 yo (1 yo in each stitch from the base). *Make 1 yo and close 2 yo together* rep. for each yo from the bottom to the top. There is a 6th column right now – a longer one (+ 3 chs).

Make a yo. This was an increase just to make a pick of the petal, so now work 1 yo in each stitch below the increase (7 yo + the 8th one through the loop of chains), *make 1 yo and close 2 yo together* rep. for each yo from the bottom to the top. Continue next columns the same way to have 5 columns on the other side.

Now stitch each border stitch of the petal (from the top to the bottom) to go to the other petal through the next loop of chains. Continue the second petal exactly the same way.

Work 3 more petals to have 5 petals is total in that Round.

Cut the yarn and make a sl st.

Center

Make a sl st and 5 chs. Work a Tunisian stitch of 5 ch and 6 yo (the last one is through the middle of the circle, instead of the loop of chains). Work 3 columns. Now stitch each border stitch of the petal (from the top to the bottom) to go to the other petal.

Work the same way to have 3 petals.

Place the central part in the middle of the work and join it together.

Leaves

R5: Take a green yarn. Start with a sl st. make 2 chs. Work 12 hdc in the circle. Close the Round with a slip stitch.

R6: Make 2 chs that represent 1 hdc. Work 1 hdc in the same place. *Work 2 hdc in the next stitch from the base* rep. until completing the Round. Close the circle. There will be 24 hdc in total.

*Make 4 chs. Work 1 sc in the 4th stitch from the base* rep. until having 6 loops of chains in total.

R6: Stitch the last st and make 5 chs. Work a Tunisian stitch. In the 2nd column work 2 additional chs making a pick. Work a Tunisian stitch + 1 yo. In the 3rd column make again 2 chs extra and working a Tunisian stitch + 1 yo. In the 4th column make again 2 additional chs and working a Tunisian stitch + 1 yo. Make the 5th column the same way adding again 2 chs.

Now we will work decreasing. Stitch 2 st and work a Tunisian stitch of 11 yo in total (together with the last one through the loop of chs). Stitch 2 st and work a Tunisian stitch of 9 yo in total (together with the last one through the loop of chs). Stitch 2 st and work a Tunisian stitch of 7 yo in total (together with the last one through the loop of chs). Stitch 2 st and work a Tunisian stitch of 5 yo in total (together with the last one through the loop of chs). Stitch 3 next st and go through the next loop of chs. This was the 5th and the last column decreasing. There is a 1st leaf ready!

Continue the same with all the leafs (there will be 6 leafs in total).

Now attach the rose to the leafs, make a sl st and cur the yarn.

  • couldn’t you please put all the direction in one sheet or two if needed instead of a long strip down the center of a page.  Please consider it.  Paper cost money.  I don’t mean to sound cheep but I have a husband.  I see a lot of things I’d like to copy and do at my leasure.
