Blue Knit Dress
You’ll need:
450 (550)g of blue yarn (68% viscose, 32% polyester; 115m/50g);
Knitting needles 5 and 10.
Size: S (M).
Used Patterns
Main pattern: work in 2 threads of yarn. The quantity of sts is multiple 8 + 1 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS row sts and yarn overs as purls. Start with 1 selvage st, pattern repeat, finish with 1 st after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-16th rows.
Pattern for sleeves: the quantity of sts is multiple 5 + 2 + 2 selvage sts. Start and finish every row with 1 selvage st. 1st-2nd rows: knit;
3rd row: *1 knit st, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to *;
4th row: 1 knit st, * slip the next 5 sts as purls, take off yarn overs and draw sts, transfer these 5 sts to LH needle and make knit5tog, then, transfer the obtained st to LH needle, make 5 sts out of this is (*1 purl, 1 knit st*)*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st;
5th-6th rows: knit.
Repeat 1st-6th rows.
Stitches control: main pattern (in 2 threads of yarn): 9 sts x 13 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
Pattern for sleeves: 16,5 sts x 22,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back
Cast on 43 (51) sts in 2 threads of yarn and at first, make 1 WS row of knit sts. Then, continue work with main pattern. In 74 (78,5) cm from the set-up row, bind off all sts as knit sts.
Front
Make in the same way, as back.
Sleeves
Cast on 44 (54) sts and work with pattern for sleeves. For chamfers, increase 1 st from both sides in 15 cm from the set-up row, then, 4 x 1 st in every 12th row = 54 (64) sts. Make increased sts as knit sts. In 42,5 cm from the set-up row, bind off all sts as knit sts.
Assembly
Make shoulder seams from both sides to 10 (13,5) cm wide. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
