200 (300)g of the same yarn, but in grey color;

50 (100)g of the same yarn, but in plum color;

Knitting needles 4,5;

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;

Wrong-side pattern: in RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts.

Border: the quantity of sts is multiple 11 + 1 + 2 selvage sts and work due to the scheme 1, on which only RS rows are stated. Make WS rows and yarn overs as purls. Start with 1 selvage st, pattern repeat, finish with st after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Make 1st-8th rows x once.

Relief pattern: the quantity of st sis multiple 9 + 2 selvage sts. Work in the same way, as border, but due to the scheme 2. Start with 1 selvage st and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Make 1st-6th rows x once, then, repeat 3rd-6th rows.

Patterns order: 8 rows of border pattern and 28 rows of stockinette stitch with blue yarn, * 4 rows of stockinette stitch with plum yarn and 10 rows with blue yarn*; repeat from * to * x once, 78 rows of relief pattern with grey yarn, 4 rows of plum yarn and 38 (48) rows with blue yarn with stockinette stitch = 184 (194) rows.

Stitches control: stitches control: 20 sts x 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Relief pattern: 20 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Border: 8 rows = 3 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 124 (146) sts and make 1 WS row of knit sts. Don’t take this row into account. Then, work with patterns order. In 9,5 cm = 26 rows from finishing of border, decrease 18 (20) sts for better fitting = 106 (126) sts. Decrease 8 (9) sts in the 41st row from the end of border and decrease 6 (7) sts in the 55th row = 92 (110) sts. In 28 cm = 72 rows from the beginning of relief pattern, bind off 1 x 3 (4) sts for arm-holes from both sides and then, 3 x 2 sts and 3 (4) x 1 st in every 2nd row = 68 (82) sts. In 13,5 cm = 36 rows (17 cm = 46 rows) from the end of relief pattern, bind off the central 30 (34) sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 4 sts and 1 x 2 sts in every 2nd row from inwards. In 15,5 cm = 42 rows (19 cm = 52 rows) from the end of relief pattern, bind off the rest 13 (18) sts of shoulder.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with V-shape neck-hole. For this, in 21 cm = 54 rows from the beginning of relief pattern, divide your work in half and increase 1 selvage st from inwards = 47 (56) sts in each half. In 30 cm = 78 rows from the beginning of relief pattern (in the next 1st plum row) decrease 16 (18) sts for chamfer = 31 (38) sts, then, bind off 6 (3) x 1 st in every 6th row from inwards and 0 (3) x 1 st in every 8th row. Bind off the rest 13 (18) sts of shoulder at the same height, as for back.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 51 (59) sts with blue yarn along neck-hole chamfers and 48 (52) sts along back neck-hole = 150 (170) sts. Make 1 circle row of purls, then, bind off sts as knit sts. Cast on 94 sts for placket along arm-holes with blue yarn, make 1 WS row of knit sts, then, bind off all sts as knit sts. Make side seams.
