Knit Dress with Open Shoulders
You’ll need:
200 (250) 250g of malva color yarn (60% silk, 40% cotton; 115m/50g);
50 (100) 100g of mint yarn (55% cotton, 25% polyamide, 20% silk; 125m/50g);
50 (100) 100g of the same yarn, but in violet color;
50 (100) 100g of the same yarn, but in grey-blue color;
Knitting needles 4,5;
Crochet hook 4.

Used Patterns
Zigzags pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 18 + 1 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which both RS and WS rows are stated. Start with 1 selvage st, pattern repeat, finish with st after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Make 1st-12th rows x once, then, repeat 5th-12th rows.
Colors order: 4 malva rows, * 4 mint rows, 4 malva rows, 4 violet rows, 4 malva rows, 4 grey-blue rows, 4 malva rows*; repeat from * to *.
Wrong-side pattern: in RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts.
Stitches control: zigzags pattern: 27 sts x 29,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
Wrong-side pattern: 19 sts x 31,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back
Cast on 111 (129) 147 sts and work with zigzags pattern, changing the yarn due to colors order. In 40,5 cm = 120 rows, continue work with wrong-side pattern and malva yarn, decrease 33 (37) 43 sts in the 1st RS row of knit sts = 78 (92) 104 sts. For arm-holes, bind off 1 x 3 sts from both sides in 1,5 cm = 4 rows from the end of changing yarn, then, bind off 2 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 60 (78) 86 sts. In 17 (19) 21 cm = 54 (60) 66 rows from the end of colors change, bind off all sts, the central 34 (38) 42 sts form neck-hole, outer 13 (18) 22 sts from each side form shoulder line.
Front
Make in the same way, as back, but for deeper neck-hole, bind off the central 6 (8) 10 sts of neck-hole, in 9,5 (11,5) 13,5 cm = 30 (36) 42 rows from end of changing colors and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts, 3 x 2 sts and 5 (6) 7 x 1 st in every 2nd row from inwards in every 2nd row. Bind off the rest 13 (18) 22 sts of shoulder from both sides at the height of back.
Sleeves
Cast on 75 (93) 111 sts with malva yarn and work with zigzags pattern, change the colors due to order. In 8 cm = 24 rows from the set-up row, continue work with stockinette stitch with malva yarn, start with RS row work with knit sts and decrease 22 (29) 33 sts = 53 (64) 78 sts. For sleeve cap, bind off 1 x 3 sts from both sides in 1,5 cm = 4 rows form end of colors change, then, bind off 2 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row. In 8,5 cm = 26 rows from the end of colors change and bind off the rest 35 (46) 60 sts.
Assembly
Make side and sleeve seams, sew up the sleeves in arm-holes. Fasten the edges of shoulder and fasten it with 1 row of single crochets and malva yarn.
