​Knit Violet Tunic

You’ll need:

10 skeins of violet Schulana Kid-Paillettes yarn (18% silk, 42% mohair, 40% polyester;125m/25g);

Knitting needles 4,5 and 5.

Size: S-M.

Used Patterns

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knt sts, in WS row – purls.

Relief pattern, knitting needles 4,5 and 5: work with knitting needles 5:

1st row (RS): 1 selvage st, knit sts, 1 selvage sts

2nd row (WS): 1 selvage st, 1 knit st, * 1 yarn over, slip 1 knit st, 1 knit st, draw it through the slipped st); repeat from * to *;

3rd row (RS): as the 2nd row;

4th row (WS): as the 2nd row;

5th row (RS): as the 2nd row;

6th row (WS): 1 selvage st, purls, 1 selvage st;

7th-12th rows: stockinette stitch with knitting needles 4,5 in 2 threads of yarn.

Repeat 1st-12th rows.

Stitches control, knitting needles 4,5, 2 threads of yarn: 16 sts x 21 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 92 sts with knitting needles 4,5 in 2 threads of yarn, start with RS row and work with relief pattern, change the knitting needles for side chamfers and decrease 15 x 1 st in every 8th row from both sides = 10 relief stripes = 62 sts. In 64 cm from the set-up row, bind off 2 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row from both sides. At 81 cm height from the set-up row, make 2 more rows with knit sts (relief stripes) and bind off all sts loosely at 82 cm height.

Front

Make in the same way, as back.

Sleeves

Cast on 52 sts with knitting needles 4,5 in 2 threads of yarn, make 10 rows of stockinette stitch start with 1 RS row and change knitting needles: * 1st-6th rows of relief pattern, 18 rows of stockinette stitch*; repeat from * to *. At the same time, for sleeve chamfers, increase 4 x 1 st in every 12th row from both sides = 60 sts. In 25 cm from the set-up row, bind off 3 sts from both sides for sleeve caps, 1 x 2 sts and 14 x 1 st in every 2nd row. At 40 cm height from the set-up row, bind off the rest 22 sts.

Assembly

Make all the seams. Make shoulder seams from both sides for 5 cm.
