You’ll need:

600 (650) 700g of dark-blue Lana Grossa Marina yarn (60% cotton, 20% viscose, 20% polyamide; 70m/50g);

Knitting needles 6;

Crochet hook 5;

2 buttons.

Used Patterns

Garter stitch: knit sts.

Relief pattern: work due to the scheme, make WS rows as sts face, yarn overs as purls. Start with 11 sts. Increase 8 sts in the 1^st row = 19 sts. Decrease 8 sts in the 11^th row = 11 sts. Make 1^st-12^th rows x once, then, repeat 12^th row.

Special decreases: in the beginning of row, make the 4^th and 5^th sts together as broaching, in the end of row, make the 4^th and 5^th sts from the end of row as knit2tog.

Stitches control: garter stitch: 14 sts x 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Relief pattern: 11 – 19 sts = 8,5 cm wide.

Back

Cast on 66 (72) 78 sts with knitting needles 6 and work with garter stitch, start with 1 WS row of knit sts. For better fitting, make special decreases – 1 st in the 14^th (16^th) 18^th row and 2 x 1 st in every 14^th row = 60 (66) 72 sts. In 15 (16) 17 cm from the set-up row, make marks from both sides. In the 17^th row from marks, increase 1 st from both sides for chamfers and 3 x 1 st in in every 10^th row = 68 (74) 80 sts. In 20 cm from marks, start making arm-holes. In 17 (18) 19 cm from the beginning of arm-holes, bind off 4 sts from both sides for sleeve chamfers, then, 3(4) 1 x 4 sts and 2 (1) 4 x 3 (5) 5 sts in every 2^nd row. At the same time with the 4^th decrease, bind off the central 18 sts for neck-hole and finish your work separately, bind off 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row.

Left Front

Cast on 37 (40) 43 sts and work with garter stitch, start with 1 WS row of knit sts. Make decrease and side chamfer from the right side in the same way, as for back = 38 (41) 44 sts. In 11 (12) 13 cm from the beginning of arm-hole, bind off 6 sts from the left side for neck-hole, 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts and 3 x 1 st in every 2^nd row, 2 x 1 st in every 4^th row.

Right Front

Make in symmetry to left front with 2 button-holes. For the first button-hole, bind off the 5^th and 6^th st from the eight side in 19 (20) 21 cm from the set-up row. Cast on 2 sts again in the next row.

Sleeves

Cast on 41 (43) 45 sts and make 1 WS row of knit sts. Then, work in the following way: 1 selvage st, 14 (15) 16 sts of garter stitch, 11 sts of relief pattern, 14 (15) 16 sts of garter stitch, 1 selvage st. Increase 1 st in the 17^th row from the set-up row, then, 3 x 1 st in every 16^th row. In 30 cm from the set-up row, bind off 49 (51) 53 sts.

Assembly

Make seams. Fasten vertical edge of right front with 1 row of slip sts, neck-hole edge with 1 row of single crochets and vertical edge of left front with 1 rows of slip sts. Sew up the sleeves. Sew buttons.
