Crochet Woolen Bag
You’ll need:
4 skeins of grey yarn (50% sheep wool, 25% alpaca wool, 25% viscose; 110m/50g);
1 skein of the same yarn, but in light-blue, dark-green, blue, pink, lilac, yellow colors (each);
Crochet hook 5;
Handles for bag 70 cm long.
Size: 42 cm height x 62 cm width.
Stitches control: each square = 9 x 9 cm.
Instructions
Make 68 squares. For each square, make the first/the first and second/ the first, second and third circle rows with one or two threads of different colors. Make the last row/ or the last circle rows with grey yarn. Make 4 chain sts.
1st row: 11 double crochets in the 1st out of 4 chain sts, finish the row with 1 slip st in the 4th chain st;
2nd row: 3 chain sts increase, 1 double crochet in the same st, 2 double crochets in every st to the end of circle row, finish the row with 1 slip st in the 3rd chain st increase (24 sts);
3rd row: 3 chain sts increase, 1 double crochet in the same st, * 1 double crochet in the next st, 2 double crochets in the next st*; repeat from * to *, 1 single crochet in the next st, 1 slip st in the 3rd chain st increase = 36 sts;
4th row: 1 chain st increase, 1 single crochet in the same chain st, as slip st of the previous row, 1 single crochet in the next st, * 1 half double crochet in the next st, 1 double crochet in the next st, 2 single crochets in the next st, 2 chain sts, 2 double crochets in the next st, 1 half crochet in the next st, 1 single crochet in every of the following 3 sts*; repeat from * to * x 3 times, finish the last repeat with 1 single crochet in every of the following 2 sts (instead of 3 sts), then, make 1 slip st in the 1st single crochet of the circle row.
Assembly
Place squares, as it’s shown on the scheme, connect them between one another with slip sts: place squares WS up and make slip sts behind back loops of both squares: 1 slip st in every st/ chain of sts. At first, collect squares for one side of bag, then, for another one. After that, form bottom. Connect sides along the first 2 squares.
