​Crochet Heart-Bag

You’ll need:

2 skeins of red yarn (100% cotton; 150m/50g);

Crochet hook 3,5 and 4,5;

1 button.

Size: 21 cm (wide) x 17 cm (long) + handle.

Stitches control: 16,5 sts = 10 cm wide.

Note: work in 2 threads of yarn. For increases, make 2 single crochets in 1 st of the previous row in the end of row, for decrease – leave the last st without fastening.

Instructions

Half-Bag

Work in 2 threads of yarn with crochet hook 3,5.

Make 3 chain sts, 3 single crochets in the 3^rd chain st, turn;

2^nd row: 2 chain sts, 3 single crochets in crochets of the previous row, turn;

3^rd row: 2 chain sts, 1 increase (2 single crochets in one st of the previous row), 1 single crochet, 2 single crochets in the last crochet, turn;

4^th row: 2 chain sts, 1 increase, 3 single crochets, 1 increase, turn;

5^th row: 1 increase, 5 single crochets, 1 increase, turn;

6^th row: 1 increase, 7 single crochets, 1 increase, turn;

7^th row: 1 increase, 9 single crochets, 1 increase, turn;

8^th row: 1 increase, 11 single crochets, 1 increase, turn;

Repeat 1^st-8^th rows this way until the quantity of crochets between increases is increased to 27 = 31 single crochets. Crochet 1 row straight.

Next row: 1 increase, 29 single crochets, 1 increase = 33 crochets.

Then, make 6 rows without increase. After that, divide your work in half and finish each side separately:

1^st row: 1 chain st, 14 single crochets, leave 2 crochets without fastening, turn;

2^nd row: 2 chain sts, leave 2 crochets without fastening, 11 single crochets, leave 2 crochets without fastening, turn;

3^rd row: 1 chain st, 11 single crochets, leave 2 crochets without fastening, turn;

4^th row: 2 chain sts, leave 2 crochets without fastening, 8 single crochets, leave 2 crochets without fastening, turn;

5^th row: 1 chain st, 8 single crochets, leave 2 crochets without fastening, turn;

6^th row: 2 chain sts, leave 2 crochets without fastening, 5 single crochets, leave 2 crochets without fastening, turn;

7^th row: 1 chain sts, 5 single crochets, leave 2 crochets without fastening, turn, cut the yarn.

Make the second half in reflection, join the yarn at the center of bag and make 2 chain sts. Fasten the detail around with 1 row of single crochets, start and finish at lower corner. Make the second half of back in symmetry.

Assembly

Put details together and fasten them with 1 row of slip sts, start at upper row of 6 crochets and finish at the same height. Make fastener in 4 threads of yarn with crochet hook 4,5. Join the yarn to the upper edge of bag, make 4 chain sts and work with rows of 4 single crochets, start every row with 1 chain st increase. In 80 (85) 90 (95) cm, join handle with 4 slip sts from the opposite side. Sew button.
