You’ll need:

100g of egg-plant color 100% wool yarn (40m/50g);

Crochet hook 10;

Ball of leather lace 3 mm wide in black color;

Chain handle 85 cm long and 2 cm wide.

Size: 13 x 20 cm (without handle).

Used Patterns

Main pattern: work due to the scheme with straight and reversed rows. Start every row with 2 chain sts increase instead of the 1st single crochet and 3 chain sts increase for the 1st double crochet. Start with sts before the first arrow on the scheme, pattern repeat between arrows, finish with sts after the 2nd arrow. Repeat 1st-4th rows.

Instructions

Make 56 chain sts with egg-plant yarn and make the 1st double crochet in the 5th chain st from the crochet hook. After that, make the main part of bag due to the scheme, pattern repeat x 8 times in a row. Make 11 rows in height. For sides, make rectangular: 6 double crochets x 8 times. For this, make 9 chain sts and make the 1st double crochet in the 5th st from the crochet hook. Make 1 double crochet in every chain st = the 1st row.

Next row: 3 chain sts increase and 5 double crochets in every double crochet of the previous row. Cut the yarn in 8 rows.

Assembly

Fasten the main detail with 1 row of single crochets with leather lace, catching side parts. For this, make side detail in 10 cm from the upper short side. At first, sew along one crossed side, then, along lower short and second cross side. Then, fasten the main part of bag with single crochets, catching sides. Make 1 single crochet in the 1st single crochet at upper edge of side. Fasten flap with single crochets.

Sew handles.
