​Simple Knit Pullover

You’ll need:

500g of light-yellow 100% viscose yarn (400m/100g);

Knitting needles 2 and 4;

Circular knitting needles 4, 3 and 2.

Size: L.

Stitches control: 23 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 166 sts (164 sts + 2 edge sts) with knitting needles 2 and make 6 cm of 1 x 1 rib. Then, change to knitting needles 4 and work with stockinette stitch, decrease 60 sts in the 1^st row = 106 sts. At 45 cm height from the beginning of work, bind off 4 sts from both sides and then start making raglan. For this, make edge st, 3 knit sts, knit2tog in the beginning of the next RS row and knit2tog, 3 knit sts, edge sts in the end of the row. Make such decreases in every 2^nd (RS) row, make WS rows as sts face. Don’t make decreases for raglan in every 7^th row. At the same time, at 21 cm height of raglan, bind off the central 25 sts for neck-hole and finish each side separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 5 sts in the next 2^nd row from inwards. Then, bind off all the rest sts. Make second side in symmetry.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole. For this, at 19 cm height of raglan, bind off the central 25 sts and finish each side separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 8 sts in the next 2^nd row from inwards. Bind off the rest sts at the height of back. Make second side in symmetry.

Sleeves

Cast on 100 sts (98 sts + 2 edge sts) and make 6 cm of 1 x 1 rib. Then, change to knitting needles 4 and work with stockinette stitch, decrease 34 sts in the 1^st row = 66 sts. At 2 cm height from rib, increase 1 st from both sides for sleeve chamfers. Then, make increases in every 6^th and 8^th rows by turn. At 37 cm height, bind off 4 sts from both sides and start making raglan in the same way, as for back, don’t make decreases in every 5^th row. At 19 cm height of raglan, bind off 1 x 8 sts and 1 x 10 sts in the beginning of every RS row for neck-hole. Bind off the rest sts. Make second sleeve in the same way.

Assembly

Make raglan, side and sleeve seams. For placket, cast on 230 sts along neck-hole with circular knitting needles 4, knit around with 1 x 1 rib. In 3 cm, change to knitting needles 3, knit 3 cm, then, change to knitting needles 2 and knit 3 cm more. Bind off the sts.
