You’ll need:

Worsted Weight Yarn (4) White - C1, Black - C2

Crochet hook H.

Size: 9 inch dog neck

3 chs = 1 inch

Notes

Ch1 does not count as a st.

Join with a sl st.

Instructions

Bib

1^st row: Ch 30 With C1, Sc in each chain, join in a circle with a slip st, and ch 1(30sc)

For a 9 inch, 3 X 9 =27 + 3 chs = 30)

You will need to + or - chs for your dogs neck measurement).

2^nd row: 1 sc in first 2 sc, 2 sc in the next sc, *1 sc in the next 2 sc, 2 sc in the next sc*, repeat from * around, join, ch 1.(40 sc)

3^rd row: 1 hdc in first 20 sts, ch1, turn (20hdc) (this half way around, if you added or subtracted stitches for your dogs neck measurement you will need to do the same here)

4^th row: 1 hdc in each st, ch1 turn (20sc)

5^th-8^th rows: repeat the 4^th row

9^th row: St tog 1st 2 hdc, 1 hdc in each st, except the last 2 hdc, st, st tog the last 2 hdc, ch1, turn (18hdc)

10^th-12^th rows: repeat the 9^th row.

Tie off weave the end in after the 12^th row.

Collar

Attach C1, to the top of the collar, even with the main part of the bib.

(7 sc for 10 inch neck, you will need to adjust for your dogs neck measurement) at the front of the bib, ch 1 turn

2^nd row: 1 dc in first 2 sts, 1 hdc, 4 sc back to the end, ch1, turn

3^rd row: 4 sc, 2 hdc, 1 dc, tie off, Repeat for the other side of the collar.

Repeat 1^st-4^th rows on the other side.

Button Tab

1^st row: With C2, Ch 15, 1 sc in 2nd ch from the hook, sc in remaining chs (14 sc)

2^nd row: 1 sc in each sc , tie off. Place on the front of the Bib down the center and sew in place.

Buttons: Make 2 or more

With C2, Make French knot for buttons down the front of the Tab.

Trim

With C2, attach yarn to the bottom center of the back of the collar band, sc around collar band, down

the side and around the bottom, then back up the other side, and back to the center of the collar band, tie off, weave end in.

Bowtie

1^st row: With black yarn, Ch 10, 1 sc in 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc in each ch across, ch1, turn (sc)

2^nd row: 1 sc in each sc, ch1, turn

3^rd-6^th rows: repeat the 2^nd row, tie off leaving a 10 inch tail of yarn.

Wrap several times around the center of the bow tie, and tie snuggly. Attach to Bib in the center of the collar.
