​Dust Pink Knit Jacket with Ruffles

450 (500)g of dust-pink Mohana yarn (67% polyaryl, 33% mohair; 125m/50g);

Straight and circular knitting needles 5.

Used Patterns

Net pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 1 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme 1, on which both RS and WS rows are stated. Start with 1 selvage st, pattern repeat, finish with st after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1^st-2^nd rows.

Pattern for ruffles: the quantity of sts is multiple 12 + 11 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme 2, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows due to the pattern, make yarn overs as purls. Start with 1 selvage st, pattern repeat, finish with the first 11 sts of pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Make 1^st-18^th rows x once, make decreases in the 7^th-13^th rows, as stated.

Stitches control: net pattern: 18 sts x 21 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Pattern for ruffles: 18 rows = 11 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 83 (91) sts and make 1 WS row of purls (don’t take this row into account). Then, work with net pattern. For better fitting, bind off 4 x 1 st in every 6^th row from both sides = 75 (83) sts. In 14,5 cm = 30 rows from the set-up row, increase 1 st from both sides for chamfers and 3 x 1 st in every 8^th (10^th) row = 3 x 1 st = 83 (91) sts, include the increased sts in the pattern. In 32,5 cm = 68 rows (34,5 cm = 72 rows) from the set-up row, bind off 4 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 1 x 2 sts, 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row = 67 (75) sts. In 52,5 cm = 110 rows (56cm = 118 rows) from the set-up row, bind off 4 (5) sts from both sides for shoulder chamfers and 2 x 5 sts (6) sts in every 2^nd row. At the same time with the 1^st decrease of shoulder, bind off the central 33 (35) sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts in every 2^nd row. In 54,5 cm = 114 rows (58 cm = 122 rows) from the set-up row, bind off all the sts.

Left Front

At the same time from the set-up row, increase 1 x 4 sts, 3 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from the left side, include these sts in the net pattern. At the same time, make chamfer and better fitting from the right side in the same way, as for back = 33 (37) sts. In 30,5 cm = 64 rows (32,5 cm = 68 rows) from the set-up row, bind off 1 st from the left side for neck-hole chamfer and 10 (11) x 1 st in every 4^th row. At the same time, make arm-hole and shoulder chamfer in the same way, as for back. Finish your work at the height of back.

Right Front

Make in symmetry to the left front.

Sleeves

Cast on 133 (145) sts and make 11 cm = 18 rows for ruffles with pattern for ruffles = 45 (49) sts. Then, work with net pattern, start between selvage sts from the 2^nd st of the pattern repeat and repeat the pattern x 10 (11) times. At the same time from ruffle, increase 8 x 1 st in every 8^th row from both sides for sleeve chamfers (4 x 1 st in every 6^th row and 5 x 1 st in every 8^th row) = 61 (67) sts, include the increased sts in the pattern. In 34,5 cm = 72 rows from the ruffle, bind off 4 sts from both sides for sleeve caps and 2 x 2 sts, 10 x 1 st and 2 x 4 sts in every 2^nd row. In 48,5 cm = 102 rows from ruffle, bind off the rest 9 (15) sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams. Cast on 241 (265) sts with circular knitting needles for back ruffles and make 11 cm = 18 rows of the pattern for ruffles, then, bind off the rest 81 (89) sts. Sew ruffle to the lower edge of back. For lower ruffles of front, cast on 253 (301) sts and make 11 cm = 18 rows and bind off the rest 137 (149) sts, sew it between the ruffles of front to the neck-hole chamfer and back neck-hole.
