You’ll need:

Any worsted yarn;

Knitting needles 3,75 mm and 4 mm.

Instructions

1^st Layer

Cast on 50 sts.

1^st row (WS): knit;

2^nd row: knit;

3^rd row: purl;

4^th row: *knit2tog, yarn over*; repeat from* to *, 1 knit st;

5^th row: purl;

6^th row: * yarn over, knit2tog*; repeat from* to *, 1 knit st;

7^th row: purl;

8^th row: * 5 knit sts, knit2tog*; repeat from* to *, 5 knit sts;

9^th row: knit;

10^th-12^th rows: knit;

13^th row: purl;

14^th row: as the 4^th row;

15^th row: purl;

16^th row: as the 6^th row;

17^th row: purl;

18^th row: * 5 knit sts, knit2tog*; repeat from* to *, 5 knit sts (= 20 sts);

19th-20^th rows: knit;

21^st row: purl;

22^nd row: * 2 knit sts, knit2tog*; repeat from* to *, 2 knit sts (= 12 sts);

23^rd row: purl;

24^th row: * 1 knit st, knit2tog*; repeat from* to *, 1 knit st (= 12 sts);

25^th row: purl;

26^th row: * 1 knit st, knit2tog*; repeat from* to * (= 4 sts);

27^th row: purl;

28^th row: knit2tog x twice;

29^th row: purl2tog.

Bind off.

2^nd Layer

Caston 25 sts. Lift-cast on 25 sts (RS) along the edge of the 1^st layer and work with knit sts. Then, work in the same way, as for the 1^st layer.

3^rd Layer

Cast on-lift 25 sts along the left side of the 1^st layer, turn, cast on 25 sts and make them as knit sts. Then, work in the same way, as for the 1^st layer.

Continue work due to the scheme.

Half-Layer (UpperPart)

Caston 25 sts. Cast on-lift 25 sts from the left side of layer on the right side and make them as knit sts.

1^st row (WS): knit;

2^nd row: 1 knit st, knit2tog, knit to the last 3 sts, knit2tog, 1 knit st;

3^rd row: purl;

4^th row: * 1 knit st, knit2tog, 1 knit st, knit2tog, yarn over*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st, knit2tog, 1 knit st;

5^th row: purl;

6^th row: * 1 knit st, knit2tog, 1 knit st, yarn over, knit2tog*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st, knit2tog, 1 knit st;

7^th row: purl;

8^th row: * 1 knit st, knit2tog, 3 knit sts, knit2tog*; repeat from * to *, 3 knit sts, knit2tog, 1 knit st;

9^th row: knit;

10^th row: * 1 knit st, knit2tog, knit to the last 3 sts, knit2tog, 1 knit st;

11^th row: knit;

12^th row: * 1 knit st, knit2tog, yarn over, knit2tog*; repeat from * to *, knit2tog, 1 knit st (= 22 sts);

13^th row: purl;

14^th row: * 1 knit st, knit2tog x twice, yarn over*; repeat from * to *, knit2tog, 1 knit st (= 20 sts);

15^th row: purl;

16^th row: * 1 knit st, knit2tog, 1 knit st, knit2tog *; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st, knit2tog, 1 knit st (= 12 sts);

17^th row: purl;

18^th row: 1 knit st, knit2tog, knit to the last 3 sts, knit2tog, 1 knit st (= 10 sts);

19^th row: purl.

Transfer the last 10 sts to the yarn, using it as stitch holder.

Continue making the half of motifs in the same way, cast on the sts, as making full motifs.

Fringe

Cast on 14 sts along the upper part of shawl with knitting needles 3,75 mm and work with knit sts.

Then, knit 10 sts from the holder, cast on-lift 14 sts along the rest half of waver (totally, 38 sts for each section). Repeat along all the waver-layers. Make 5 rows of garter stitch, bind off the sts loosely.
