You’ll need:

2 (3–3–3–4) 4 skeins of Sandnes Garn Mandarin Medi yarn (100% cotton; 135m/50g) in white color (# 1002);

Circular knitting needles 3 and 3,5;

Double-pointed knitting needles 3 and 3,5;

Stitch markers.

Size: 0- 3months (6 months – 9 months – 1 year – 2 years) 4 years.

Chest circumference: 50 (54–57–63–66) 70 cm;

Length: 24 (26–28–31–36) 40 cm;

Sleeve length: 13 (15–18–21–24) 26 cm.

Stitches control: 22 sts = 10 cm.

Instructions

Back and Front

Cast on 110 (118–126–138–146) 154 sts with circular knitting needles 3 and make 3 cm of rib with circle rows. Place markers from both sides, separate 55 (59–63–69–73) 77 sts for back and front. Turn to circular knitting needles 3,5 and work with circle rows in the following way: * 4 (6–8–3–5) 7 sts of stockinette stitch, sts due to the scheme, 4 (6–8–3–5) 7 sts of stockinette stitch*; repeat from * to *. In 16 (17–18–20–24) 27 cm from the set-up row, make back and front separately.

Back

Work on 59 (63–67–73–77) 81 sts due to the scheme, make 1 selvage st from each side. In 22 (24–26– 29–34) 38 cm from the set-up row, bind off the central 19 (19–21–23–23) 25 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately.

Right Half of Back

Work due to the pattern, bind off 1 st in the 2nd row from inwards. In 24 (26–28–31–36) 40 cm from the set-up row, bind off 2 sts above cable, finish the row and bind off the rest 17 (19–20–22–24) 25 sts.

Left Half of Back

Make in the same way, as right half, bind off 2 sts above cable in 23,5 (25,5–27,5–30,5–35,5) 39,5 cm, finish the row and bind off all the rest sts.

Front

Work on 59 (63–67–73–77) 81 sts in the same way, as for back, but in 20 (22–24–26–31) 35 cm from the set-up row, bind off the central 13 (13–15–17–17) 19 sts and finish both sides separately.

Right Front

Work due to the pattern, bind off 1 x 2 sts, 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row; bind off all the sts at the same height, as right half of back.

Left Front

Make in the same way, as right front, bind off all the sts at the same height, as left half of back

Sleeves

Cast on 30 (32–34–34–36) 38 sts with double-pointed knitting needles 3 and make 3 (3–3– 4–4) 4 cm of rib with circle rows. Change to double pointed knitting needles 3,5 and place marker on the first st. Work with stockinette stitch in rounds, in 4 (4–4–5–5) 5 cm from the set-up row, increase 1 st from both sides of marker, repeat these increases in every 3 (2,5–2,5–2–2) 2 cm until there are 36 (40–44–48– 52) 56 sts on the knitting needles. In 13 (15–18–21–24) 26 cm from the set-up row, bind off all the sts. Make the second sleeve in the same way.

Assembly

Make right shoulder seam. For neck-hole placket, cast on 1 st from every st of the row along front and back neck-hole, but slip every 4th st of the row with knitting needles 3 = 63 (63–67–71–71) 75 sts. The quantity of sts should be multiple 2 + 1. Make 3 cm of rib, bind off the sts due to the pattern.
