​Colorful Pullover for Boy

You’ll need:

220g of red yarn (50% wool, 50% acryl);

100g of the same yarn, but in blue color;

60g of the same yarn, but in yellow color;

Knitting needles 4 and 4,5.

Size: 6 years.

Used Patterns

Fancy rib: 1^st row: * 2 knit sts, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *;

2^nd row: purl.

Repeat 1^st-2^nd rows.

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls.

Stitches control: 19 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 78 sts with knitting needles 4 and make 4 cm of fancy rib. Continue work with stockinette stitch and knitting needles 4,5, alternating the colors of yarn in the following way: 4 red rows, 2 blue rows, 4 yellow rows, 10 blue rows, * 14 red rows, 2 blue rows, 4 yellow rows, 10 blue rows*; repeat from * to *. At the same time, at 29 cm height from the beginning of work, bind off 4 sts from both sides for arm-holes and knit straight. At 45 cm height, bind off 22 sts for each shoulder and transfer 26 sts for the neck-hole to the auxiliary needle.

Front

Cast on 78 sts with red yarn and knitting needles 4 and make 4 cm of fancy rib. Continue work with with stockinette stitch and knitting needles 4,5, alternating the colors of yarn in the following way: 4 red rows, 2 blue rows, 4 yellow rows, 10 blue rows, * 14 red rows, 2 blue rows, 4 yellow rows, 10 blue rows*; repeat from * to. At the same time, at 29 cm height from the beginning of work, bind off 4 sts from both sides for arm-holes and knit straight. At 39 cm height from the beginning of work, bind off the central 6 sts for neck-hole and 5 sts, 3 sts and 2 sts in every 2^nd row from both sides. At 45 cm height, bind off 22 sts for each shoulder and finish your work.

Sleeves

Cast on 40 sts with knitting needles 4 and red yarn and make 4 cm of fancy rib. Continue work with knitting needles 4,5 and stockinette stitch, alternate the colors of yarn in the same way, as for back, increase 11 x 1 st in every 6^th row from both sides = 62 sts. At 38 cm height, bind off all the sts and finish your work.

Assembly

Make one shoulder seam. Lift 70 sts along the neck-hole with red yarn and knitting needles 4, including 26 sts from the auxiliary needle, make 6 rows of fancy rib and bind off all the sts due to the pattern. Make second sleeve seam. Make all the rest seams and sew up the sleeves in the arm-holes.
