You’ll need:

400 (450)g of yellow Capri yarn in 2 threads (55% cotton, 45% polyacryl; 105m/50g);

Straight knitting needles 5 and 5,5;

Circular knitting needles 5;

Crochet hook 4;

Double-sided zipper 45 (50) cm long.

Size: 134/140 (146/152).

Used Patterns

1 x 1 rib, knitting needles 5;

Garter stitch: knit;

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;

Cross-sectional pattern: * 4 rows of stockinette stitch, 2 rows of garter stitch*; repeat from * to *;

Cable (19 sts wide): due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows due to the pattern. Repeat 1st-8th rows.

Stitches control: cross-sectional pattern: 16,5 sts x 24,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Cable: 19 sts = 8 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 62 (68) sts and make 4 cm of rib, increase 23 sts in the last row = 85 (91) sts. Then, divide the sts in the following way: 1 selvage st, 11 (14) sts of cross-sectional pattern, 19 sts of cable, 23 sts of cross-sectional pattern, 19 sts of cable, 11 (14) sts of cross-sectional pattern, 1 selvage st. In 27 cm = 66 rows (29,5 cm = 72 rows) from rib, bind off 1 x 3 sts from both sides for arm-holes, then, 1 x 2 sts and 4 x 1 st in every 2nd row. Bind off the rest 67 (73) sts in 45,5 cm = 112 rows (50,5 cm = 124 rows) from rib, make 4 x 2 sts together on the sts of cable. Thecentral 27 sts = neck-hole.

Left Front

Cast on 32 (35) sts and make 4 cm of rib, increase 11 sts in the last row = 43 (46) sts. Then, divide the sts in the following way: 1 selvage st, 11 (14) sts of cross-sectional pattern, 19 sts of cable, 11 sts of cross-sectional pattern, 1 selvage st. Make decreases for arm-hole in the same way, as for back = 34 (37) sts. For neck-hole, bind off 1 x 4 sts in 40,5 cm = 100 rows (45,5 cm = 112 rows) from rib, then, 2 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row. Bind off the rest 20 (23) sts at the height of back, make 4 x 2 sts together on the sts of cable.

Right Front

Make in symmetry to the left front.

Hood

Cast on 92 sts and make 33 cm of rib. Then, continue work with cross-sectional pattern. At the same time, starting from rib, bind off 2 x 2 sts and 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row from both sides and 1 x 1 st in the next 4th row = 76 sts. In 14,5 cm = 36 rows from rib, mark the central 2 sts, make st before the 1st marked st and the marked st as knit2tog, make the 2nd marked st and the next st as broaching. Repeat these decreases in every 2nd row x 4 times, then, 4 times x every row, make all the sts of WS row as purl2tog or cross purls. In 19,5 cm = 48 rows from rib, fold the rest 58 sts in half and connect them.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 76 (82) sts along the arm-holes and make 3 cm of rib. Bindoffthestsduetothepattern. Makesideseams. Sewthehoodtotheneck-holeline. Fasten the front edges and short sides of hood rib with 1 row of single crochets and 1 row of “shrimp stitch”. Sew zipper to the hood rib. For zipper plackets, cast on 74 (82) sts from both sides and make 2 rows of stockinette stitch. Bind off the sts, sew the plackets from WS to the zipper.
