You’ll need:

1 (2) skeins of Berna Softee Baby Chunky yarn (100% acryl; 142m/140g) of grey color;

1 skein of the same yarn, but blue color;

Crochet hook 8.

2 buttons with 2,5 mm diameter.

Instructions

Collar

Make 54 (60) chain sts with grey yarn.

1st row (RS): 1 single crochet in the 2nd chain st from the crochet hook, * 1 chain st, skip the next chain st, 1 single crochet in the next chain st*; repeat from * to *, turn = 53 (59) sts;

2nd row: 1 chain st, 1 single crochet in the 1st single crochet, 1 single crochet in the next chain st, * 1 chain st, skip the next single crochet, 1 single crochet in the next chain st*; repeat from * to * to last single crochet, 1 single crochet in the last single crochet of the lower row, turn;

3rd row: 1 chain st, 1 single crochet in the 1^st single crochet, * 1 chain st, skip the next single crochet, 1 single crochet in the next chain st*; repeat from * to * to last 2 sts, 1 chain st, skip the next single crochet, 1 single crochet in the last single crochet of the lower row, turn;

4^th row: as 2^nd row.

Repeat the last 2 rows to 12,5 (15) cm height, finish your work from the wrong-side.

Hood

Join the grey yarn to the 8^th chain st of the previous row.

1^st row: 1 chain st, 1 single crochet in the 1^st chain st, * 1 chain st, skip the next single crochet, 1 single crochet in the next chain st*; repeat from * to * to last 4 sts, turn, leave these 4 sts unfinished = 35 (39) sts.

2^nd row: 1 chain st, 1 single crochet in the 1^st single crochet, 1 single crochet in the next chain st, * 1 chain st, skip the next single crochet, 1 single crochet in the next chain st*; repeat from * to * to last st, 1 single crochet, turn;

3^rd row: 1 chain st, 1 single crochet in the 1^st single crochet, * 1 chain st, skip the next single crochet, 1 single crochet in the next single crochet*; repeat from * to * to last 2 sts, 1 chain st, 1 single crochet in the last single crochet, turn;

4^th row: as 2^nd row.

Repeat the last 2 rows to 20,5 (23) cm height, finish your work on the wrong side.

Fold the hood in half right side inwards and make a seam.

Fastening

Join the blue yarn from the right side to the lower right corner of the hoof by means of slip st, 1 chain st, 1 circle row of single crochets along the edge of collar and hood, slip st in the 1^st chain st.

Sew the buttons.
