You’ll need:

650g of light-blue yarn (60% sheep wool, 25% merino wool, 15% polyamide; 40m/50g);

Straight knitting needles 10;

Circular knitting needles 9.

Instructions

Front

Cast on 43 sts and make 1 WS row with knit sts, then, work with striped pattern. Repeat the pattern x 4 times after 1 selvage st, finish 5 sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. At 36 cm height, bind off 1 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row from both sides for arm-holes = 35 sts. At 53 cm height, bind off the central 5 sts for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately, for smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 2 sts and 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row. At 21 cm height of arm-holes, bind off 2 x 3 sts and 1 x 4 sts in every 2nd row for shoulder chamfers.

Back

Make in the same way, as back, but bind off the central 11 sts at 57 cm height with the beginning of shoulder chamfers and then bind off 1 x 2 sts in the next 2nd row from inwards.

Sleeves

Cast on 25 sts and make 1 WS row with knit sts, then, work with striped pattern. Repeat the pattern x twice after 1 selvage st, finish with 5 sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. For sleeve chamfers, increase 3 x 1 st in every 16th row from both sides and make them with stockinette stitch. At 43 cm height, continue work upon both strips of crossed sts with stockinette stitch. At 43 cm height, bind off 1 x 3 sts and 1 x 2 sts in every 2nd row from both sides for sleeve caps, 3 x 1 st in every 4th row, 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 3 sts in every 2nd row, then, bind off the rest 5 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams; cast on 48 sts along the neck-hole line with circular knitting needles for collar and make 10 cm of 1 x 1 rib, then, bind off the sts loosely. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
