Finishing

ch 1

The first stitch of this row will depend on where the last row ended, which can vary.

The pattern is work fphdc around cl in previous row, work bphdc around next stitch, then fphdc, then bphdc, all the way around. Join.

Repeat with a second row of alternating front and back hdc.

«top of cl from previous row»  what does the cl stand for? Im not sure, I thought it might be cluster but you type out cluster through out the pattern.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Peggy

Yes, you understand clearly it's a cluster, sometimes I can put abbreviation uncontiously, sorry
