​Simple Tunic for Girl

You’ll need:

4 (5) 7 balls of Safari yarn of dark-green color (78% linen, 22% polyamide; 140m/50g);

1 (1) 2 balls of the same yarn, but light-green;

Crochet hook 3;

3 buttons.

Size: 92/98 (116/122) 140/146.

Used Patterns

Single crochets: start every row/circle row with 1 chain st increase instead of the 1^st single crochet, finish every circle row with slip st in the chain st increase.

“Shrimp stitch”: single crochets from left to right.

Relief pattern 1 on 10 sts: due to the scheme 1. Start with sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat. Make 1^st-3^rd rows once, then repeat 2^nd-3^rd rows.

Relief pattern 2 on 2 sts: due to the scheme 2. Start with sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat. Make 1^st-3^rd rows once, then repeat 2^nd-3^rd rows.

Stitches control:

26 sts х 11 rows = 10 х 10 cm with pattern 1;

19 sts х 12 rows = 10 х 10 cm with pattern 2.

Back

Make 111 (131) 151 chain sts + 1 chain st increase with dark-green yarn and work with relief pattern 1, finish at 22 (30) 38 cm.

Make 50 (62) 74 single crochets in upper edge with light-green yarn and continue work due to the relief pattern 2.

In 3 (5) 7 cm from patterns changing, leave 3 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 1 x 2 sts, 2 (3) 4 x 1 st in every row.

In 11 (17) 23 cm from changing patterns, leave the central 12 (18) 22 sts and finish each part separately, leaving 1 x 3 sts in the 2^nd row from the neck-hole line. Finish work in 13 (19) 25 cm from the patterns changing.

Right Front

Make 51 (61) 71 chain sts + 1 chain st increase with relief pattern 1 to 22 (30) 38 cm height.

Make 22 (28) 34 single crochets in upper edge with light-green yarn and continue work due to the relief pattern 2.

Make arm-hole from the left-side in the same way, as you made for back. At the same time, leave 1 st from the beginning of arm-hole for the neck-hole and 0 (2) 0 x 1 st in every row, 5 (6) 10 x 1 st in every 2^nd row. Finish your work at the height of back.

Left Front

Make in symmetry to the right front.

Assembly

Sew the shoulders and sides, fasten all the open edges with 3 circle rows of single crochets and 1 circle row of “shrimp stitch” with dark-green yarn, make 3 single crochets in 1 st in the lower edges of front.

Make 3 plackets for buttons in the 3^rd circle row on the right front (= 3 chain sts under 2 single crochets). Crochet the 1^st st at the height of neck-hole line and make the rest sts with 3 cm interval. Sew the buttons.
