Sunny Tunic for Girl
You’ll need:
3,5 skeins of orange yarn (50% cotton, 50% viscose; 375m/75g);
A little bit of the same yarn, but lighter color;
Crochethook 2.
Size: 5-6 years.
Note: work from up to down.
Instructions
Make 50 chain sts for front part and work with the pattern due to the scheme, repeat 2nd and 3rd rows 14 times, making increases of ½ “shell” from both sides in every row. At the same time, make 70 chain sts in the 13th row for back and continue work with the pattern around.
15-23rd rows: work due to the scheme 4th-5th rows;
24-31 rows: work due to the scheme 6th-7th rows, make the last 2 rows as 9th and 10th rows of the scheme.
Assembly
Make 4 cords of 30 chain sts and 2 cords of 60 chain sts for straps. Fasten each cord with 1 row of double crochets.
Attach the long cords to the front part of the tunic, sew 2 cords of 30 chain sts to the ends of straps. Fasten the upper inner part of strap with 1 row of shrimp stitch with lighter yarn.
Make “shells” along the outer side of straps: 1 single crochet, (1 double crochet, 1 treble crochet, 1 double crochet) in 1 st, 1 single crochet.
Fasten the “shells”, straps, neck-hole and bottom of skirt with 1 row of picot.
Make a cord of 150 chain sts, insert it as belt of your tunic and decorate the ends with wooden beads.
