You'll need:

Plastic bottles;
Scissors;
Fishing line;
Tape;
Glue for plastic.

Instructions

Cut the bottom and bottle neck.

Cut the obtained cylinders to stripes.

Make semis.

Bind the elements together.

Fasten the handle to the ready-made basket.

If necessary, add bottom part.

Before you start weaving the basket, you need to get rid of the labels and glue on the plastic bottles, otherwise this area will quickly become contaminated, which will badly affect the appearance of the basket.

To make a basket, a cylinder from a plastic bottle is cut lengthwise and then cut into strips. The width of these stripes is approximately 1–1.5 cm. However, it is best if the proportions are 1: 8 relative to the length of the strip. This means that if a strip of 15 cm is obtained from a 2-liter bottle, it can be 1.8 cm wide.

The resulting semis are folded in half so that a fold forms in the center. After that, each detail must be bent again in half so that the edges are hidden inside the semi, touching the central fold. As a result, the element should be 4 times shorter than the original strip.

Now the bent parts need to be joined together using two side bends. Thus, a corner is formed from two elements. The other semis are attached to it one by one, eventually creating a zigzag. The length of this zigzag should correspond to the size of the basket.

Elements along the edges are fixed with a fishing line. Pens can be made of similar elements, but then the basket can only be used as decoration. To use the product on the farm, you need to make parts stronger.

After the required number of zigzags is ready, all the details of the future product are connected with a thread or fishing line. What will be the bottom of the basket depends on its purpose. It can be braided from the same zigzags or simply glued a thick plastic with a heat gun. However, it is worth remembering that the glued bottom will not withstand heavy loads.
