Foamiran Butterfly Hair Pin
You'll need:
Metal base for hair pin;
Foamiran 1 mm wide;
Glitter fabric (e.g. eco-leather);
Piece of light felt;
Butterfly antenna;
Picktooth;
Scissors;
Paper;
Pencil;
Glue for metal;
Glue gun.
Instructions
Cut out a square 7 by 5.5 cm from paper.
Fold the square in half in length. Draw a butterfly wing pattern on it.
Cut out the “butterfly” so that the partition between the folded halves remains and holds the wings together.
Attach the template to the foamiran sheet and circle it with a toothpick, slightly pushing the contour.
Cut 2 parts.
Squeeze one “butterfly” in the middle and apply glue to fix between the folds.
Similarly apply glue to the back fold. From the second part, cut off a little matter in the middle, reducing the connecting part.
Spread the glue in the middle of the second part and glue the "folded" butterfly on top.
From glitter fabric, cut a long strip with a width of 5 mm.
Lightly fire the edges of the strip with a lighter.
Glue one end of the strip from the back of the “butterfly” from below so that the remaining strip goes to the front side.
Wrap a strip around the butterfly, gluing to the front side, in a circle.
Cut in such a way, that after gluing, the end of the strip just reaches the glued beginning, and glue it.
Glue the antennae for the butterfly on the back so that they protrude above its “head”.
Cut the felt from the felt onto the metal base for the hair clip.
Glue the gasket to the upper bar with glue for metal and leave for 15 minutes.
Glue the butterfly with the back to the gasket with a gun.
