Instructions
Stitches control: 26 sts and 34 rows = 10 x 10 cm. Relief socks are knitted in circle rows. Cast on 50 sts and circle them, knit the 1st row with knit sts. Then knit 2 cm with 1 x 1 rib. After that leave 21 st on the needles for the heel and the rest 29 sts should be placed on the auxilary needles for upper part.
Make decreases of your heel in the following way:
2nd row: from the left side knit until there 5 sts left. Make simple decrease by means of slipping the st, 1 purl and draw it through the slipped st. Turn your work again;
When all the previous steps are finished, cast on 13 sts from both sides, then return the rest 29 sts, which were placed on the auxilary needles. As a result, you should get 68 sts. Separate the 29 sts from the auxilary needles with pins. Knit the socks and their sole with stockinette stitch.
Continue knitting until your relief socks are 18 cm long. Place markers or pins again. Then continue knitting with stockinette stitch on all the sts, decreasing 1 st from both sides due to the following instructions: when you reach 2 sts placed in front of the pin, make 2 knit sts together, 2 knit sts cross. At first, decrease 4 times in every 2nd row, then 6 times in every row. When there are 8 links left, cut the thread and draw it through the sts with further binding off.
