The purse is begun with a circular medallion from the bottom and worked outward.
Bottom of Purse (Two Details)
Round 1-12
Rnd 1: Chain 4 stitches joined with sl st.
Rnd 2: Into the middle of ch4: ch 3, 11 dc, sl st to top of ch3.
Rnd 3: ch 3, dc in the same st as ch, 2 dc in each of next 11 st, sl st.
Rnd 4: ch 3, dc in the same st as ch, dc in next st, *2 dc in next st, dc in next st*, repeat from *to* 11 times, sl st.
Rnd 5: ch 3, dc in the same st as ch, dc in each of next 2 st, *2 dc in next st, dc in each of next 2 st*, repeat from *to* 11 times, sl st.
Rnd 6: ch 3, dc in the same st as ch, dc in each of next 3 st, *2 dc in next st, dc in each of next 3 st*, repeat from *to* 11 times, sl st.

Rnd 1: ch3, dc in each of next stitches around.
Rnd 2: ch 1, sc in the same st as chain, *ch 2, skip next 2 st, 2 dc separated by 2 ch stitches in next st, ch 2, skip next 2 st, sc in next st*, repeat from *to* till end of Rnd.
Rnd 3: ch 4, skip 2 st, *3 clusters of 3 dc, separated by ch 2 in ch-2 space, ch 1, skip next 5 st*, repeat from *to* till end of Rnd.
Rnd 4: ch 4 (counts as dc and ch 1), skip next 2 st, *dc in ch-2 space, ch 1, skip next 2 st, dc in ch-2 space, ch 1, skip next 2 st, dc in ch-1 space, ch 1*, repeat from *to* till end of Rnd.
Rnd 5-20: Rep Rnd 1-4.
Rnd 21-23: Rep Rnd 1-3.
You can make purse longer by repeating the pattern.
Finishing
Fasten off, weave in ends. Weave ribbon through spaces between dc's in Rnd 20. Sew lace ribbon to the upper edge of the purse and the satin rose to the body of the purse.
