Wishbones Knit Stitch

Knitted in a multiple of 18 sts + 1 and 8-row repeat.

Row 1 - right side: Purl 1, * knit 2, purl 4, knit 2, purl 1; repeat from * to end.

Row 2 and all wrong side rows: K1, * p2, k4, p2, k1; repeat from * to end.

Row 3: Purl 1, * left cross, right cross, purl 1, knit 2, purl 4, knit 2, purl 1; repeat from * to end.

Row 5: Purl 1, * knit 2, purl 4, knit 2, purl 1; repeat from * to end.

Row 7: Purl 1, * knit 2, purl 4, knit 2, purl 1, left cross, right cross, purl 1; repeat from * to end.

Row 8: Knit 1, * purl 2, knit 4, purl 2, knit 1; repeat from * to end.

Repeat 1-8 rows.

How to make crosses

Left cross: slip 2 sts to dpn and hold in front; purl 2, yarn over; from dpn knit 2 knit sts together through back loop.

Right cross: slip 2 sts to dpn and hold in back; knit 2 knit sts together, yarn over, purl 2 from dpn.
