R15: [1 sc, invdec] 2 times (4)
Fasten off, leaving an 8 in (20 cm) tail for sewing. Leave leaf unstuffed and flatten.

Leaf Veins

With lime, insert the yarn needle into the opening at the bottom of the leaf. Weave the yarn through the stitches only on the top portion of the leaf. For veins B, C, D, and E, weave your needle through vein A in the center, securing it to the leaf. Embroider each vein:

A. Down the middle of the leaf from R2-14

B. Between R2-3
C. Between R5-7
D. Between R8-10
E. Between R12-13
Fasten off and hide yarn tails inside work. Leaves are ready to sew onto stem.

Assembly

Using the 8 in (20 cm) yarn tail from the leaf and yarn needle, sew the end of each leaf between R3-4 on either side of the stem. I like to have one leaf angled slightly forward and the other leaf angled slightly back. Weave in ends.
