Row 2-10: Hdc across, ch 1 turn. (4)
Fasten off leaving long tail to sew Row 10 to Row 1.

Heel Closing –
First, turn stocking inside out. Using your yarn needle and yarn tail from when we cut the yarn, thread needle and start to weave tail inside the open heel stitches, pull gently to gather the heel to a nice round shape, secure and weave in tail and then fasten off.
Optional – Lining –
Lining the stocking is simple enough. Lay out fabric right sides together, lay stocking on top and trace around. Cut out fabric stocking. Starting at top right of stocking, start stitching together, leaving top open. Turn right side out, fold over top edge and sew around. Insert fabric stocking into your Dixie Stocking, hand stitch or use a hot glue gun to attach just the top. I’m sure there are lots of great tutorials online to explain each step in more detail if needed!
