Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across, turn.


Row 2: (right side) Ch3(counts as first dc now and throughout), *[skip next 2 sc, dc in next dc, ch1, working around dc just made, dc in first skipped sc], Repeat from * across to last sc, dc in last sc. Ch1 turn.


Row 3: Sc in each dc and in each ch-1 sp across. Turn


Row 4: Ch3, *skip next 2 sc, dc in next sc, ch1, work FPdc around the post of the first dc of Cross st 2 rows below. repeat from * across to last sc, dc in last sc.


Rows 5-44: Repeat Rows 3 & 4 alternately 20 more times.


Row 45: Repeat row 3. Ch1 turn.


Edging

Rnd 1: sc evenly around, working 3 sc in each corner, join to beginning sc. DO NOT TURN


Rnd 2: *Ch3, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next st, sl st in next st, Repeat from * around. Join to the base of the beginning Ch-3. Fasten off.. weave in loose ends
