Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn: Yellow – Small amount Pink – ½ oz, 25 yds (15 g, 23 m) Green – 1 oz, 50 yds (30 g, 46 m) White – ½ oz, 25 yds (15 g, 23 m) Orange – ½ oz, 25 yds (15 g, 23 m) (Lily Sugar ‘n Cream, Bernat Cottontots)

Crochet Hook: Size H-8 (5.00 mm)

JOINING WITH SC 

When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

Special Stitches

Long Single Crochet (l-sc): Insert hook in corresponding ch-1 sp on Rnd 2 (working over ch-1 sp on Rnd 3) and pull up loop, yo, draw through both loops on hook.

V-Stitch (v-st): (dc, ch 1, dc) in same st or sp indicated.

DISHCLOTH:

Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with Yellow, ch 5, join with sl st to first ch to form ring; ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), dc in ring, ch 1, [2 dc in ring, ch 1] 5 times; join with sl st to first dc. (12 dc and 6 ch-1 sps) Finish off and weave in ends.

Rnd 2: With right side facing, join Pink with sl st to any ch-1 sp, ch 5 (counts as first dc and ch2), 2 dc in same sp, [ch 1, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next ch-1 sp] around, ending ch 1, dc in first ch-1 sp; join as before. (24 dc, 6 ch-2 sps and 6 ch-1 sps)

Rnd 3: Sl st in ch-2 sp, ch 3, 6 dc in same sp, ch 1, skip next ch-1 sp, [7 dc in next ch-2 sp, ch 1, skip next ch-1 sp] around; join as before. (42 dc and 6 ch-1 sps) Finish off and weave in ends.

Rnd 4: With right side facing, join Green with sc to first dc of any 7-dc group, sc in next 6 dc, l-sc (in ch-1 sp on Rnd 2), [sc in next 7 dc, l-sc in next ch-1 sp on Rnd 2] around; join with sl st to first sc. (42 sc and 6 l-sc) Finish off and weave in ends.

Rnd 5: With right side facing, join White with sl st to first sc after any l-sc, ch 3, dc in next 2 sc, * v-st in next (center) sc, dc in next 3 sc, ch 1, skip next l-sc, dc in next 3 sc; rep from * around, ending v-st in next (center) sc, dc in next 3 sc, ch 1, skip next l-sc; join with sl st to first dc. Finish off and weave in ends.

Rnd 6: With right side facing, join Orange with sl st to ch-1 sp of any v-st, ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch 1), dc in same sp (first v-st made), * dc in next 4 dc, dc in next ch-1 sp, dc in next 4 dc, v-st in next v-st; rep from * around, omitting last v-st on final repeat; join as before. Finish off and weave in ends.

Rnd 7: With right side facing, join Green with sl st to ch-1 sp of any v-st, ch 4 (counts as first dc and ch 1), dc in same sp (first v-st made), [dc in next 11 dc, v-st in next v-st] around, omitting last v-st on final repeat; join as before. Finish off and weave in ends.
