Skill Level: Intermediate

Materials:
6 oz. Worsted Weight Yarn
I (5.5mm) Crochet Hook

Special Stitches:

For sc-shell: (sc, ch 3, sc) in sp indicated.
For Curlicue: Ch 21, work 3 sc in second ch from hook and in each remaining ch across. (Note: wrong side of sc stitches will be on the outside of the Curlicue.)
Gauge: Rows 1-3 = 5” x 2”

Scarf

Note: The ch-3 at the beginning of each row is not worked in or counted as a stitch; it is for turning purposes only
Row 1: For Eyelet Foundation-see“How to make an Eyelet Foundation” if needed- (ch 3, dc in 3rd ch from hook) 7 times (7 Eyelet Foundation spaces made), ch 3, turn; working in ch sps of Eyelet Foundation, work sc-shell (see Special Stitches) in first sp, sc-shell in each ch sp across, turn. (7 sc-shells made)

Row 2: Ch 3, work sc-shell in ch-3 sp of each sc-shell across, turn. (7 sc-shells made)
Next Rows: Repeat Row 2 until Scarf measures 60” long. At end of last row, do not fasten off.

For First Curlicue Row: Ch 3, (sc, Curlicue- see Special Stitches-, sc) in ch-3 sp of each sc-shell across. Fasten off. (7 Curlicues made)

For Second Curlicue Row: Working in ch sps on opposite side of Eyelet Foundation, join with sc in first sp, (Curlicue, sc) in same sp as joining, (sc, Curlicue, sc) in each remaining sp across. Fasten off. (7 Curlicues made)
