Double Moss Knit Stitch

Steps to knit Double Moss Stitch:

Step 1: Abbreviations: k: knit, p: purl, rep: repeat, sts: stitches

Step 2: Rows 1 and 2 (RS, WS): *Knit 2, p 2; rep from * to end of row.

Step 3: Rows 3 and 4 (RS, WS): *Purl 2, k 2; rep from * to end of row.

Step 4: Repeat Rows 1 - 4 for pattern.

TIPS:

A note on shaping in Double Moss Stitch: It is easy to work any waist or bust shaping rows in Double Moss Stitch if desired. Since Double Moss Stitch is such a simple texture, you may simply work decrease and increase rows with the typical k2tog, ssk decreases and make-one increases as written in your pattern. However, if you would like to preserve the Double Moss Stitch pattern through shaping, match your decreases and increases to the existing pattern as follows.

I'm not sure. Always on the lookout for patterns that are «simple» enough for me to understand. LOL.
