DIY April the Sunflower
Lovely! Check out April the Sunflower in her royal cuteness. The pattern is quite, no very easy to follow. So, it is absolutely stress free, especially once you open the free crochet pattern which I have shared below. Materials needed:
- Yarn
- 3.5” plant pot
- 12mm safety eyes
- Darning needle
- Fiber fill
- Scissors
- Pins
- 4mm Furls Odyssey Hook
I thought this was supposed to be very easy, but really disappointed. I haven't crocheted in 20 years, wanted to make a sunflower for a friend that is sick and loves sunflowers. What the heck is a magic ring, guess I'll have to look it up, and make 6 of them? And the other instructions are just not that clear to me, perhaps to an experienced crochet person, but I wish they made more sense to me. I've made afghans, lots of them, vests, and knitted sweaters many years ago, but these directions I find vague for saying pattern is easy.
It doesn't look super easy to me also. You could Google sunflower crochet and see if you find an easier one. BTW, magic ring is easy. Make a loop like you are starting to crochet, but in the other direction. That makes a circle you can crochet in, and then pull the end tight. It is a cute pattern.
