Straight knitting needles 5 and 5,5;

Circular knitting needles 5.

Main pattern, knitting needles 5,5: the quantity of sts is multiple 11 + 1 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows as sts face, yarn overs as purls. Start with 1 selvage st and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-16th rows.

Stitches control: 21,5 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 74 (86) sts and make 2 cm of rib, increase 28 (27) sts in the last row = 102 (113) sts. Then, work with main pattern. In 40 cm = 100 rows (37 cm = 92 rows) from rib, bind off 2 sts from both sides for arm-holes = 98 (109) sts. In 57 cm = 142 rows from rib, bind off 4 (5) sts from both sides for shoulder chamfers and 4 x 4 (5) sts in every 2nd row. At the same time, in 59 cm = 148 rows from rib, bind off the central 50 (51) sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. In 61 cm = 152 rows from rib, bind off the rest 4 sts of shoulder from each side.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but for deeper neck-hole, bind off the central 50 (51) sts in 57,5 cm = 144 rows from rib.

Sleeves

Cast on 38 sts and make 2 cm of rib, increase 13 sts in the last WS row = 51 sts. Then, work with main pattern, start with 1 selvage st and sts from arrow A, 4 pattern repeats, finish with 1 selvage st. At the same time, increase 11 x 1 st in every 8th row (17 x 1 st in every 4th and 6th rows by turn) from both sides for sleeve chamfers = 73 (85) sts, include the increased sts in the pattern. In 37,5 cm = 94 rows from rib, bind off 3 (4) sts from both sides for sleeve cap, 4 x 3 (4) sts in every 2nd row. In 41,5 cm = 104 rows from rib, bind off the rest 43 (45) sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. For placket, cast on 110 (112) sts along neck-hole with circular knitting needles, make 2 circle rows of purls and bind off all sts as purls. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
