Crochet Orange Jacket

You’ll need:

600 (650) 700g of orange Mariana yarn (50% merino wool, 30% alpaca, 20% mohair; 60m/50g);

Crochet hook 8;

Knitting needles 7;

5 buttons.

Size: S (M) L.

Used Patterns

1 x 2 rib.

Garter stitch: knit sts.

Main pattern: half crochets. Start every row with 2 chain sts increase instead of the 1st half crochet and finish with 1 half crochet in upper chain st of the previous row.

Stitches control: 9 sts x 11 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Make 40 (44) 48 chain sts + 2 chain sts increase and work with the main pattern. In 36 (34) 32 cm from the set-up row, skip 2 sts from both sides for arm-holes. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 1 st in the next row. Finish your work in 54 cm from the set-up row on the rest 34 (38) 42 sts.

Left Front

Make 7 chain sts + 2 chain sts increase and work with the main pattern. In 7 cm from the set-up row, make 13 (15) 17 chain sts + 2 chain sts increase in the end of WS row and work on all 20 (22) 24 sts. Make decreases from the right side for arm-hole in the same way, as for back = 17 (19) 21 sts. In 51 cm from the set-up row, bind off 4 sts from the left side for neck-hole and bind off 1 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in the every following row. Finish your work on the rest 9 (11) 13 sts at the height of back.

Right Front

Make in symmetry to left front.

Sleeves

Make 18 (22) 26 chain sts + 2 chain sts increase and work with the main pattern. For chamfers, increase 6 x 1 half-crochet from both sides in every 6th row = 30 (34) 38 sts. In 39 cm from the set-up row, bind off 3 sts from both sides for sleeve cap and 1 x 2 sts, 5 x 1 st and 1 x 2 sts in the next 2nd row. Finish your work on the rest 6 (10) 14 sts in 14 cm from the beginning of sleeve cap.

Assembly

Cast on 22 (26) 26 sts along the set-up rows of sleeves and work with rib between selvage sts, start and finish with 1 purl in the 1st WS row. In 6 cm from the beginning of placket, bind off sts as they face. Make seams. For collar, cast on 68 sts along the edge of neck-hole and work with rib between selvage sts, as you did for the sleeves. Sew up the sleeves. For lower placket, cast on 82 (90) 98 sts along the lower edge and work with rib. In 7 cm from the beginning of placket, bind off sts as they face. Make button-holes. Sew buttons.
