The quantity of sts is multiple 2 + 1.

Set-up row 1 (RS): Color A, knit;

Set-up row 2: Color A, knit;

1st row: Color B, k1, *K1B, k1; rep from * to end;

2nd row: Color B, knit;

3rd row: Color A, k2, K1B, *k1, K1B; rep from * to last 2sts, k2.

4th row: Color A, knit.

Repeat 1st-4th rows.
