Crochet Green Square Top
You’ll need:
50 (100)g of dark-green (#393) Novita Sade yarn (58% acryl, 28% polyester, 7% mohair; 205m/50g);
100 (100)g of mélange green (# 836) Novita Huurre yarn (84% acryl, 8% wool, 8% mohair; 490m/100g);
Crochet hooks 4 and 5.
Size: 8 (12) years.
Stitches control: 8 (12) years.
Instructions
Back
Make 4 chain sts with dark-green yarn and circle the ring with 1 slip st. After that, make square motif due to the scheme. Continue making square in the same way after the 5th row. Change the yarn to mélange green after the 7th row, make 2 rows, then, make 2 rows with dark-green yarn and 3 (6) rows with mélange yarn.
After that, start making upper part of back with dark-green or mélange yarn. For this, step back, 5 (6) sts from both sides and work on the central sts in the following way: 1st row: join the yarn with slip st, make 3 chain sts increase, 1 treble crochet, decrease 2 crochets by means of making 3 treble crochets together, treble crochets until there are 5 sts left, 3 treble crochets, 2 treble crochets in the end of row;
2nd row: 3 chain sts increase, 1 treble crochet, decrease 1 treble crochet, 2 double crochets together, then, make treble crochets to the end of row until there are 4 sts left, make 2 treble crochets together and 2 treble crochets;
3rd row: 2 chain sts, 7 double crochets;
4th row: 1 treble crochet in every crochet of the previous row.
Repeat 3rd-4th rows until you make 8 (9) rows. Cut the yarn.
Front
Make central motif in the same way, as for back. Then, start making straps with dark-green or mélange yarn. For right strap, step 5 (6) sts back from right side and work on the next 13 (15) sts.
1st row: join the yarn with 1 slip st, make 3 chain sts increase, 1 treble crochet, then, decrease 2 crochets, make 3 treble crochets together, then, make 4 (6) treble crochets, decrease 1 treble crochet, make 2 treble crochets together, 2 treble crochets in the end of row = 10 (12) crochets;
2nd row: make, 3 chain sts increase, 1 treble crochet, decrease 1 treble crochets by means of making 2 treble crochets together, 2 treble crochets, decrease 1 treble crochet = 8 (10) sts;
3rd row: 3 chain sts increase, 1 treble crochet, decrease 1 treble crochet, 4 treble crochets = 7 (9) treble crochets. Make 4 rows without decreases. Increase 1 treble crochets from inwards in the next row = 8 (10) sts. Repeat these increases in every 2nd row x 3 times = 11 (13) 15 crochets. Finish your work, cut the yarn. Make another strap in symmetry.
Assembly
Sew sides of straps to the edge of back. Make side seams, leave cuts 12 cm height. Fasten neck-hole with 1 row of single crochets, making 3 single crochets together with crochet hook 4.
