Crochet Top with Rose-Knots
You’ll need:
250 (300)g of light-blue Cotonia yarn (100% cotton; 135m/50g);
Crochet hook 3 (4).
Size: S (M).
Used Patterns
Rose-knot: make 6 chain sts and circle them in the ring with 1 slip st in the ring and work due to the scheme with circle rows. Start and finish every row with 1 slip st. Turn to the next row with the help of slip st if needed. Repeat 1st-5th rows x once, starting with the 2nd motif, connect rose-knots in the last circle row with slip st, as it’s shown in the scheme. Join the last rose-knot to the first one.
Main pattern: work due to the scheme with circle rows. For this, join the yarn at arrow A and start with chain sts increase and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 slip st. Make 1st-5th rows x once, then, repeat 2nd-5th rows.
Stitches control: main pattern: 1 pattern repeat x 8,5 rows = 11 x 10 cm (1 pattern repeat x 7,75 rows = 12 x 10 cm);
Rose-knot: 11 (12) cm in diameter.
Instructions
Make 10 rose-knots with crochet hook 3 (4) and connect them in the ring. For side part, join yarn at arrow A, make 21 chain sts, skip 2 rose-knots and join the yarn between 2nd and 3rd rose-knots. For opposite side, make in the same way. Then, for lower part, work with main pattern in circle rows, fasten it with 1 pattern repeat of the main pattern = 8 pattern repeats. In 36,5 (40) cm = 31 rows of the main pattern, finish your work. For shoulder rose-knots, make 2 rose-knots and connect one rose-knot with slip st to the arch of chain sts of upper shoulder rose-knots in the 5th circle row. Fasten neck-hole with 1 row of single crochets and 1 row of “crab stitch”, make 4 single crochets in every arch of chain sts of rose-knots.
