V-Stitch (v-st)- [dc, ch 2, dc] in st indicated.

Picot- ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch.

The quantity of sts is multiple 6 + 3.

1^st row (WS): hdc in 6th ch from hook (skip ch counts as hdc and ch 1 sp), *ch 1, skip 1 ch, hdc in next ch; rep from * across, turn;

2^nd row: ch 1, sc in each hdc and ch 1 sp across to tch, sc in 1st and 2nd ch of tch, turn;

3^rd row: ch 1, sc in 1st sc, ch 2, skip 2sc, v-st in next sc, ch 2, skip 2sc, sc in next sc, *picot, ch 2, skip 2sc, v-st in next sc, ch 2, skip 2sc, sc in next sc; rep from * across to end, turn;

4^th row: ch 3 (counts as dc), *shell in next v-st ch 2 sp, ch 1; rep from * across to last v-st, shell in next v-st ch 2 sp, dc in last sc, turn;
